Juan Jose Lopez
Juan José is a Mexican musician with a distinguished career in the realm of jazz and a former guitarist of the renowned "Big Band Jazz de México." Over the years, he has collaborated with esteemed artists, both nationally and internationally, including Edy Gomez, Dave McMurdo, Iraida Noriega, and Armando Manzanero, among others.
In addition to his career as a performer, Juan has embarked on teaching since 2003, affiliating with respected institutions of popular and jazz music in Mexico, such as Fermatta School and Tiempo Música. His pedagogical expertise encompasses a wide array of subjects, including harmony, guitar, improvisation, solfege, and more.
Recognized for his talent and dedication, Juan was honored with the CONAHCYT scholarship for postgraduate studies abroad. Presently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Jazz Performance at Northern Illinois University. His profound dedication to music has positioned him as one of Mexico's foremost jazz guitarists.
